Soora Rasouli

Dr. Soora Rasouli is a Full Professor in the Department of the Built Environment at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). Rasouli leads the Urban Planning and Transportation group, where the focus is on developing models on citizens’ travel behavior with special attention paid to the recent advances in transport technology including EV, autonomous driving and Mobility as a service. These models are integrated into decision support systems for urban planning design and policy decisions. Understanding citizens’ need and their decision mechanisms helps policy makers to advocate soft interventions in line with policies and plans’ objectives. In this manner, not only the gradual move towards a sustainable urban environment but also quality of life and people’s travel satisfaction can be guaranteed.
